Review #121: Huggies Little Swimmers

Huggies Little Swimmers

Before we discovered reusable swim diapers, we always used Huggies little swimmers. I like to keep them around in the event that our reusable swim diapers may not be available. They are easy to put on, lightweight, affordable, and we have never had a leak. However, the only way to get them off when wet is by tearing the sides which is not always easy with a wiggly toddler who doesn't want to cooperate. Overall they are the best disposable swim diapers we have found but are definitely just a backup plan to reusable ones.

Review #119: Prince Lionheart Wipes Warmer

Prince Lionheart Wipes Warmer

When I was pregnant with my first a good friend gifted up this Wipes Warmer. My first child was born in July and although we hardly ever used the warming function, we did love having the nice durable container to hold the wipes. When we were setting up a nursery for our second child I pulled the warmer out and my husband just happened to plug it in. For our January baby(in freezing cold New England weather) that warming function was much appreciated. I also loved the subtle green nightlight. We have used this wipes warmer for over 6 years and its still in great condition, never had any issues opening or coming off the hinges. I will be happy to pass it on to another family to enjoy once we have finished using it because it really is a great extra convenience!

Review #118: Baby Greeters Bandana Bibs

Baby Greeters Bandana Bibs
Baby Greeters Bandana Bibs are not only stylish but they are also wonderful for drooly teething babies. They are made with a designer cotton outer layer and the backside is made of super soft organic Bamboo Terry Cloth. I loved that my son could still look stylish while avoiding getting drool all over his clothes!

Review #117: Desitin

Desitin

Typically we try to cure diaper rashes with natural solutions however PJ had the worse diaper rash I have even seen last week. It was terrible and nothing on our changing table was fixing it. My mother came over with some Desitin for us to try, as my sister-in-law uses it on my nephew and she insisted we try. Although the smell is chemical, it did its job well and fast. We put it on my son at 8pm when he went to bed and by morning that pesky diaper rash was gone. Although this still will not be my first choice, it is something that we will definitely keep around for anything that the natural solutions cannot seem to fix.

Review #115: Pampers Cruisers Diapers

Pampers Cruisers

After recently having some fit issues in his last diapers, we made the change to Pampers Cruisers and we are very happy. They are much more fitted than any others we have tried. They also hold and curve exactly where they should to keep things in the diaper that belong in the diaper. When changing him, he doesn't seem to be wet at all, which is, of course, amazing to avoid those diaper rashes! PJ, of course, was very excited to see all of his favorite Sesame Street characters all over these diapers. He is enjoying picking what diaper he wants to wear, which has avoided any recent meltdowns during diaper changes. I believe we will be sticking with Cruisers for a while.

Review #114: Skiphop Mini Backpack with Tether

Skiphop Mini Backpack with Tether
My son has always been a runner. If I want him to go north, he bolts south. This was not working for our family, as we also have an older daughter who is in sports & school activities and we needed our son to come along(and sometimes actually walk) So I went in search of a tether backpack. Upon lots of recommendations, we found the skiphop bag. I was convinced it was our best choice with the tough to open chest clip. My son now refuses to go anywhere without his backpack. He loves putting his cars in it & takes it everywhere we go. We keep the tether strap in the side pocket so I can easily grab & attach if we need to.

Review #113: Summer Infant Deluxe Comfort Folding Booster Seat

Summer Infant Deluxe Comfort Folding Booster Seat
We do not travel anywhere without the Summer Infant Deluxe Comfort Folding Booster Seat. It folds up so small that I actually pack it inside out largest suitcase along with diapers, wipes, swim gear, floats etc. It has two straps to attach to any chair, a 3 point belt, and a good sized tray. It even has 2 height adjustment levels to help bring the child up depending on the chair/table height and a machine washable seat back cover. We have been using this travel booster for almost 2 years & it is always in my car when we aren't using it because you never know when you may need a high chair!

Review #112: Merri Poppins Rapunzel Dress

Merri Poppins Rapunzel Dress
When purchasing a dress for my daughter's Rapunzel birthday party I knew that the costumes you find at the store just wouldn't work for us. I wanted something she could wear comfortably not only for her party but also for trips to Disney on Ice or just special days out on the town. I luckily found JaNette at Merri Poppins. All of her dresses are handmade(by her) and she even makes custom orders. Best of all, due to the style of dress with the sash around the waist, two years later and the dress still fits!

Review #110: Melissa & Doug Puzzles

Melissa & Doug Puzzles
Since my son was about a year old, he has loved playing with puzzles. Now he is two and a half years old and he still LOVES his puzzles. Melissa and Doug are by far my favorite brand. The pieces are always bright cheerful and they are well made. They even held up to my son teething on them!
